Job summary

Acme Construction Supply Inc. seeks an Outside Sales Representative with 3–5 years of experience to drive new business within our market. The role offers a base salary of $45,000.00 per year plus commissions and a vehicle reimbursement program, with travel across multiple regions as needed.

The ideal candidate will develop sales plans, conduct product demonstrations, and build strong relationships with customers and vendors while upholding Acme’s brand and service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years sales experience in construction supply/distribution.
• Valid driver's license and eligibility for company auto insurance.
• Decisive thinker with ability to analyze information quickly and make robust decisions.
• Collaborative and able to work with a wide range of people inside and outside the company.
• Advanced knowledge of sales margins and territory management.
• Pro-active approach to meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sales action plan and strategy, including weekly sales calls with detailed customer info.
• Conduct joint sales calls with vendors; present product demonstrations as needed.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly to ensure high service levels and relationships.
• Participate in sales and marketing events; educate customers about Acme's products and services.
• Monitor pricing, opportunities, and sales guidelines; promote promotions and surplus inventory.
• Identify upsell opportunities and communicate inventory/pricing discrepancies to management.
• Develop product and inventory knowledge through training and vendor education.
• Travel to customer sites as required and represent the company brand positively.
