Richelieu Hardware Ltd in the Boston region seeks a Sales Manager to lead and grow the outside sales team serving cabinetmakers, kitchen dealers, and woodworkers. You will drive revenue, mentor reps, and manage budgets while ensuring strong product knowledge and customer relationships.

This role requires hands-on leadership, autonomy, and collaboration with marketing on promotions, with a focus on maximizing gross margin and regional performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an outside sales team within the building materials industry.
• Hands-on leader and educator with coaching skills.
• Proactive and autonomous, also a team player.
• Strong analytical, planning, and monitoring abilities.
• Experience using and promoting a CRM system.
• Occasionally able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Outside Sales Representatives.
• Join field calls with customers, providing feedback.
• Provide ongoing training and development for the sales team.
• Drive motivation, passion, and team morale.
• Direct selling for a set of own customer accounts.
• Monitor all sales activities and manage budgets/targets.
• Manage performance and promote a high-performance culture.
• Establish product mix to maximize gross margin.
• Coordinate promotions with sales and marketing teams.
• Organize and lead Regional Sales Meetings.
