Job summary

STIHL USA is seeking a Retail Support Specialist to act as the primary field contact for business development within STIHL dealerships. You will assist in dealer set-ups, training, and merchandising to ensure STIHL products are showcased effectively.

You will work with Territory Managers and conduct STIHL Champion training while aligning with STIHL University curriculum. This outside sales role can be performed remotely, with travel up to 75% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience preferred.
• Previous sales or retail experience preferred.
• Previous merchandising experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Travel may be up to 75%.
• Must be a self-starter and able to perform well with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to champion and utilize OneCRM, SAP as needed.
• Demonstrates effective time management and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform new dealer set-ups, including SCS install, product assembly and merchandising.
• Train new dealers’ staff on STIHL basics and selling training.
• Develop existing dealers’ business through re-merchandising and training.
• Visit Construction Type National Accounts to establish relationships and provide in-store training.
• Attend regional trade shows, training events, and dealer events to promote STIHL and services.
• Maintain reporting in CRM and monthly field reports.
