Job summary

STIHL Inc. seeks a results-driven Retail Support Specialist to strengthen dealer partnerships and drive growth. You will set up new dealers, train staff, and coordinate product merchandising and in-store displays across STIHL channels.

Based in or near the Pacific Northwest, you will travel up to 75% and support regional accounts with sales training, showroom setup, and merchandising, while aligning with STIHL University curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience preferred.
• Previous sales or retail experience preferred.
• Previous merchandising experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Travel may be up to 75%.
• Must be a self-starter and able to perform well with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to champion and utilize OneCRM and SAP as needed.
• Demonstrates effective time management and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Retail Support Manager to coordinate and perform new dealer set-ups; including SCS install, product assembly and merchandising, and static / motion POP set up on display.
• Train new dealers’ staff on STIHL basics and selling training.
• Develop existing dealers through re-merchandising, SCS expansion projects, sales training and STIHL Champion development.
• Visit Construction Type National Accounts to establish relationships and provide in-store training and merchandising.
• Attend and support STIHL at regional trade shows and dealer events to promote STIHL and its services.
• Maintain reporting (CRM, monthly field reports, national account visits, merchandising stories).
• Attend sales and dealer training meetings and other required meetings and training.
