Job summary

STIHL USA is seeking a driven Commercial Solutions Specialist to join our field-based sales team. You will build relationships with dealers and commercial customers, demonstrate gas and battery-powered solutions, and drive account growth.

The role focuses on visiting strategic accounts in Virginia Beach, VA, Raleigh, NC, or Wilmington, NC, with relocation options. Travel up to 75% is expected and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required or preferred.
• 1–3 years of sales prospecting experience preferred.
• Travel up to 75% of time.
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to champion and utilize OneCRM or SAP as needed.

Responsibilities

• Visit strategic commercial and municipal accounts to increase STIHL equipment sales through demonstrations, training, and feature/benefit comparisons.
• Identify and prospect new commercial accounts carrying competitors with goal to convert to STIHL customers.
• Develop and evaluate product training programs and contact potential customers (landscapers, loggers, contractors, municipalities).
• Attend and support STIHL events, trade shows, training events, and dealer activities to promote STIHL and services.
• Maintain reporting (CRM, field reports, expense reports, communications).
• Attend sales meetings, dealer trainings, and other required meetings.
