Job summary

QXO, North America’s largest distributor and installer of insulation, roofing products, lumber and building materials, seeks a Sales Consultant in Minnesota. You will sell to residential and light commercial accounts, identify prospects, and manage accounts from initial contact to project completion.

The role requires 3+ years in building products sales, local travel (>50%), and meeting monthly targets. Base plus commissions with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years sales experience in building products/construction.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Sell product lines to residential and light commercial accounts.
• Identify prospective customers and generate and follow up on leads.
• Conduct daily sales calls, provide proposals, generate new business leads and manage accounts.
• Provide product knowledge and expertise to customers, recommending materials and services based on customer needs.
• Understand the market you serve, monitor market conditions and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
• Meet monthly sales targets.
• Communicate safety programs to customers at sale inception by inspecting job sites for safety concerns.
• Manage customer experience from initial sale to project completion.
