Job summary

TruTeam is seeking a Sales Consultant to drive sales of residential and light commercial product lines. The role focuses on building relationships, prospecting new accounts, and delivering tailored material recommendations.

Ideal candidates have construction industry sales experience, are motivated, and capable of meeting monthly targets. Travel is local with flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in building products/construction.
• Minimum age of 18.
• If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective customers and consistently generate and follow up on leads.
• Conduct daily sales calls, provide proposals, generate new business leads and manage accounts.
• Provide product knowledge and expertise to customers, recommending materials and services based on customers’ needs.
• Understand the market you serve, monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
• Meet monthly sales targets.
• Communicate safety programs to customers at sale inception by inspecting job sites for safety concerns.
• Manage customer experience from initial sale to project completion.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.
