Job summary

TruTeam is looking for a Sales Consultant to drive growth in residential and light commercial accounts. You will identify prospects, make daily sales calls, present proposals, and manage accounts from initial contact to project completion.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in building products sales, a valid driver’s license, and a proactive, assertive approach to developing new business while upholding safety on job sites. Local travel is required and flexibility for evenings/weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years sales experience in building products/construction.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective customers and generate and follow up on leads.
• Conduct daily sales calls, provide proposals, generate new business leads and manage accounts.
• Provide product knowledge and expertise to customers, recommending materials and services based on customers’ needs.
• Understand the market, monitor conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
• Meet monthly sales targets.
• Communicate safety programs to customers at sale inception by inspecting job sites for safety concerns.
• Manage customer experience from initial sale to project completion.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.
