Actalent is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to support utility and heavy industrial construction operations. You will partner with project leadership and field crews to promote a strong safety culture through coaching, training, inspections, investigations, and continuous improvement across solar and electrical projects.

The role emphasizes field-based safety leadership, incident investigations, and delivering toolbox talks.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience conducting field audits, safety observations, and incident investigations on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible safety leader for field personnel on utility, industrial and construction sites.
• Promote strong safety culture by enforcing policies and procedures.
• Conduct safety observations and provide real-time coaching.
• Perform site safety inspections and audits on active projects.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; prepare reports and root-cause analyses.
• Conduct new-hire safety orientations and onboarding.
• Verify certifications and training records; support safety campaigns.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety presentations; travel to project sites as needed.
