Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 5-8 years of construction or utility safety experience.
• Experience in power transmission and distribution line construction preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Advise personnel on safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Conduct routine safety inspections of construction sites, facilities, equipment, and operations.
• Respond to emergency situations and lead incident investigations, including root cause analyses.
• Develop corrective action plans and monitor implementation to address unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety training programs for employees, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Mentor and train junior safety professionals and field personnel to strengthen safety performance.
• Analyze safety data, incident trends, and leading indicators to identify risks and improvements.
• Lead emergency response drills, preparedness planning, and crisis management initiatives.
• Interface with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies regarding safety-related matters.
• Promote a proactive safety culture aligned with company values and industry best practices.

The Field Safety Specialist reports directly to the Director of Safety and works

closely with the Risk Safety Manager to promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the organization. This position is responsible for supporting field operations by monitoring job sites, providing safety training, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements. The Field Safety Specialist plays a critical role in helping the organization maintain safe work practices while supporting operational growth without compromising safety or quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Certifications:

One or more of the following certifications is preferred:
