Job summary

On Target is seeking a Safety Specialist to lead safety initiatives across utility construction and maintenance projects in the Northeast. The role supports development, training, and enforcement of safety standards for transmission, distribution, and telecom lines and facilities.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in a corporate safety environment or leadership role.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• CUSP, CSP, or CIH certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License; CDL preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk assessment and analysis support.
• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, practices, and training.
• Conduct field safety audits and incident investigations.
• Perform safety trainings and mentor employees.
• Monitor safety training completion and report findings.
• Coordinate safety information across units to ensure consistency and safety awareness.
