Job summary

Jobot is seeking a proactive Safety Coordinator for a growing regional electrical utilities contractor. You will support large transmission, distribution, substation, and utility projects, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring OSHA compliance across sites.

The role spends significant time in the field conducting site visits, coaching crews, leading safety training, and tracking incidents and corrective actions while traveling regionally to project sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety experience within electrical utilities, construction, industrial, or infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and utility construction safety practices.
• Ability to travel regionally to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and observations on active utility construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and utility client safety standards.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing field safety training.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns with root cause analysis.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, training records, and compliance logs.
• Participate in client safety meetings, audits, and project walkdowns.
