Job summary

Amazon Robotics RTS Field Hardware Support Engineers ensure field teams keep advanced robotics systems reliable and high-performing. You will link on-site technicians with RTS engineering, launching new deployments, performing hardware audits, and driving continuous improvements across the fulfillment network.

The role requires independent judgment in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment with ambiguity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience maintaining resilience and reliability of services; troubleshooting deployments, infrastructure as code, alarms/metrics, provisioning and patching.
• Experience in automation or monitoring frameworks, deployment or development.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for new product implementations, upgrades, hardware audits, and troubleshooting for advanced robotics systems.
• Partner with site-level reliability and controls teams to maximize system performance.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve mechanical and system issues across the RTS product suite.
• Design and implement electro-mechanical tools, fixtures, and diagnostic solutions to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement proactive monitoring tools to measure safety, reliability, and performance of robotics systems.
• Create escalation processes, standard operating procedures, and preventative maintenance protocols.
• Design and lead training sessions for on-site RME teams.
• Develop and implement spare parts management systems and processes.
• Produce performance reports and provide customer feedback to development and support teams.
• Up to 75% travel expected.
