Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Air Force programs. You will bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements, demonstrate interoperability, and support field tests across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments.

Travel up to 50% is required; a remote option may apply depending on location. Active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months is expected, as is U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years experience in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms; familiarity with RF test equipment.
• Security clearance: active SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months; US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Analyze DoD operational priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark architectures and validate technical approaches.
• Support BD with technical needs; align with strategic priorities.
• Create technical demos for airborne, edge, and expeditionary networking.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research for integrations.
• Engage with DoD stakeholders and translate feedback into roadmaps.
• Travel up to 50% for tests, meetings, and demonstrations.
