Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

The role requires expertise in ventilator management, patient education, and thorough documentation, with travel to field and in-office sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• 1 year of clinical experience as a respiratory therapist with ventilator exposure.
• Valid and unrestricted RT license in all states serviced.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of ventilators, HME products, and guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians.
• Participate in discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator equipment and use.
• Document care activities accurately in patient records.
