Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This role combines direct patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, coordinated outcomes outside the hospital.

You will perform assessments, manage ventilator equipment, train patients and caregivers, and document care in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year (1) of clinical experience with ventilator exposure as a Respiratory Therapist or related role.
• Active Respiratory Therapist license in serviced states; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home/alternate care settings.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of ventilators, HME products, and applicable guidelines.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use and care plans.
• Document care activities, assessments, and outcomes per company standards.
