Job summary

AdaptHealth seeks a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate settings. You will perform assessments, educate families, and coordinate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

You will travel to patient homes and be part of a multidisciplinary team, providing on-going follow-up and documentation to meet regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• 1 year of clinical ventilator-exposure experience required.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in serviced states.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of ventilators, HME products, and guidelines.
• Perform assessments and communicate findings to physicians.
• Support discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use.
• Provide clinical follow-up with physicians and referrals.
• Document care activities and outcomes in patient records.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and infection control standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
