Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This field clinician role combines hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

You will maintain ventilator knowledge, perform assessments, and support discharge planning while communicating with care teams.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist with ventilator exposure.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license where the branch operates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced knowledge of ventilators, HME products, and guidelines.
• Perform assessments, review records, and communicate with physicians.
• Discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients and home transitions.
• Demonstrate equipment use to patients, caregivers, and staff.
• Document care activities clearly and timely per company standards.
