Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, high quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program is required.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure is preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states served by the branch.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, HME products, and related guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians and referral sources.
• Participate in discharge planning for ventilator dependent patients to home setting.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator units and equipment use.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in company systems.
• Ensure documentation supports quality tracking and regulatory compliance.
