AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This field clinician role combines hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, coordinated outcomes outside the hospital.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, patient and caregiver education, discharge planning, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• Active Respiratory Therapist license in states served.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, and related guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians and referral sources.
• Discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on equipment use.
• Document patient care activities in accordance with company standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Comply with HIPAA, PPE, and infection control requirements.
