Job summary

AdaptHealth seeks a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver advanced respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. The role includes education, coordination with care teams, and ensuring safe transitions from hospital to home.

The candidate will assess and monitor patients, document outcomes, and participate in on-call rotations. Travel is required; licensure and compliance with regulations are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in respiratory care or equivalent from AMA-approved program.
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience with ventilator-exposed patients.
• Active Respiratory Therapist license in servicing states; CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home/alternate settings.
• Educate patients and caregivers on ventilator use and care plans; coordinate with physicians.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely per company standards.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, PPE, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
