Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in Albany, NY is seeking a Field Reliability Technician to perform fuel cell component and system testing, support tests, and field service activities. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, safe handling of tools, and clear communication with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates or vocational degree preferred.
• Two (2) or more years of related work experience in a technology manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or related field.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with field testing and data gathering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments, gather data and perform basic investigations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system, sub-system, and component issues.
• Assist with lab functions and tests as required.
• Maintain accurate records and enter results into databases.
• Travel to customer sites to support reliability processes and procedures.
• Provide field service support to customers and Plug Power teams.
• Handle inventory for testing components and systems.
• Follow OSHA and safety regulations and promote a safe workplace.
• Assist with SOPs and training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
