Job summary

PLUG POWER INC. seeks a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell systems in electric lift trucks at a designated site. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and conduct field upgrades while maintaining safety and documentation requirements.

The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Travel to customer sites is expected, with an emphasis on clear communication and strong problem solving.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.
• Computer and software systems skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support.
