Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and service fuel cells in electric lift trucks at customer sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and reliability.

This role requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. You will document service events, order parts, communicate with regional teams, and travel as

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Perform specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support service to customers as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
• May require troubleshooting of high-voltage systems and related safety considerations.
• Travel as required for business needs; drive safely and adhere to traffic laws.
• Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times.
• Complete administrative duties & documentation including incident reports and service logs.
