Job summary

Anduril Industries in Quincy, MA seeks a Field Reliability Engineer for Undersea Reconnaissance & Strike. You will debug real-world field anomalies, reproduce with recorded data, and ship fixes across Rust, C++, Python, or Go.

You’ll validate in simulated or hardware-in-the-loop environments and document root causes for long-term reliability. You will work closely with hardware and subsystems, owning fixes end-to-end, and collaborating to reduce downtime while meeting strict safety and

Qualifications

Real experience debugging code under time pressure.
Comfort with at least two of Rust, modern C++, Python, Go to read/fix bugs.
Systems-debugging instincts: pull logs/metrics and reconstruct events.
Observability tooling experience (Prometheus/Grafana, Loki/ELK).
Linux and systems fluency; some exposure to declarative OS setups.

Responsibilities

Take field-reported anomalies and identify the actual subsystem.
Reproduce issues using recorded data and visualization tooling.
Use existing metrics/logs to reconstruct system state at failure.
Confirm fixes in simulated or hardware-in-the-loop environments before deployment.
Write fixes in the subsystem language with tests and CI.
Determine if bug/config/deployment mismatch and fix at the correct layer.
Document root cause and fix for long-term learnings and runbooks.
Escalate to owning teams when broader subsystem changes are required.
