Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a hands-on bug-squash engineer who thrives under pressure to diagnose, reproduce, and fix complex issues across subsystems. You’ll work with Rust, C++, Python, or Go, reading logs and metrics to identify root causes and deliver robust, test-covered fixes that ship into production.

Qualifications

• Experience debugging code under time pressure with incomplete information.
• Comfort with at least two of Rust, C++, Python, Go for real bug fixes.
• Strong systems-debugging instincts and ability to pull logs/metrics to reconstruct events.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus/Grafana, Loki/ELK).
• Fluency with Linux and systems-level thinking, including HW/SW interfacing.
• Willingness to travel 25%+ of the time.

Responsibilities

• Take field anomalies and identify the actual subsystem involved.
• Reproduce issues using recorded data and live pipelines.
• Use metrics/logs to reconstruct system state at failure.
• Verify fixes in hardware-in-the-loop or simulated environments.
• Write robust fixes with tests and CI visibility.
• Document root causes and fixes for long-term learnings.
• Push for subsystem-level improvements rather than patching symptoms.
