Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Quality Specialist to monitor construction quality across multiple utility-scale solar projects. This full-time, on-site role is based in Herald, CA, requiring travel to active sites to verify DFOW quality and ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

You will document discrepancies, file NCRs, and share quality trends with field and corporate teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in solar EPC or utility-scale construction quality control.
• Strong written and verbal communication with field teams.
• Solid understanding of construction drawings and QA/QC protocols.
• Familiarity with solar installation methods and standards (NEC, IEEE, ASTM).
• Proficiency with inspection tools, reporting software, and digital documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform random sampling inspections at active project sites across the region to verify DFOW quality and compliance with drawings and standards.
• Photograph, document, and report discrepancies; generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with findings and recommendations.
• Share inspection results and quality trends with project teams and QA/QC to drive corrective actions and improvements.
• Support onboarding and training of field personnel on quality procedures and expectations.
