Job summary

Signal Energy is seeking a Field Quality Coordinator to support QA/QC efforts on solar projects in the field, working with the Quality Manager and site teams to uphold project quality and safety standards.

You will coordinate inspections, audits, documentation, and training for project staff and subcontractors, driving proactive problem solving and adherence to Quality Policies across diverse field operations.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of construction QA/QC on large commercial, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Preferred: SWPPP knowledge and erosion control; auditing experience and ISO quality standards.
• Mandatory: OSHA 10-hour, First Aid, CPR, SWPPP Training.
• ASQ or other quality certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quality Advocacy: Promote policies and represent the company professionally on site.
• Field Support: Assist Quality Manager, Project Manager, and Lead Superintendent with field QA/QC needs.
• Quality Assurance: Help assess work quality and track corrective actions per Quality Policies.
• Performance Improvement: Drive quality achievement across the project.
• Inspection and Testing: Support audits, inspections, surveillance, and testing per the project quality program.
• Project Oversight: Help manage the quality program for solar projects (roads, foundations, high voltage works, substations, arrays).
• Documentation: Maintain project plans, specs, drawings, and quality records.
• Non-Conformance: Assist investigations and implement corrective measures.
• Training: Provide quality training for project teams and subcontractors.
• Policy Compliance: Maintain policies/procedures and ensure project alignment with design, budget, schedule.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Ensure subcontractors follow Quality Policies and procedures.
• Communication: Convey quality policies to all personnel on site.
• Problem Solving: Resolve issues through effective communication and coordination.
