Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to support project-level QC activities on large commercial construction sites. You will apply the project QC plan, perform inspections, coordinate with trade partners, and drive timely punch list resolution to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.

This safety-sensitive role requires a civil/structural engineering degree and 1–2 years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• 1–2 years of experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the owner's quality assurance team on all QC issues.
• Perform initial and follow-up inspections and manage punch lists.
• Coordinate third-party testing and source inspections.
• Review QC logs and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, and findings.
