Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement and manage the QC program on construction projects in Colorado Springs. You will coordinate multiple QC engineers, work with PM/PS to resolve issues, and promote quality control across regional efforts. This is a safety-sensitive position.

The role requires a 4-year degree related to civil/structural fields or similar experience, 5–7 years on large projects, and proficiency with MS Office, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience in a related position.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process.
• Lead the weekly QC meetings.
• Review initial and follow-up inspection reports, punch list items and close-in inspection results.
• Submit and review RFIs to ensure changes are implemented in the field.
• Coordinate and schedule for source inspections.
• Evaluation and development of QC personnel.

Education

High School/GED

4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience
