Hensel Phelps is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement and manage the QC program on large commercial projects. The role involves coordinating multiple QC engineers, working with the PM and PS to resolve issues, and advancing quality control initiatives across projects.

This safety‑sensitive position requires strong leadership and a rigorous approach to quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in a related field, 5–7 years of large project QC experience, and

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience in a related position.
• Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer software – Microsoft Office Suite, Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process.
• Lead weekly QC meetings and coordinate the site‑specific QC program.
• Review inspection reports, punch lists, and close‑in inspection results.
• Interface with owner's quality assurance and management on quality‑related issues.
• Submit and review RFIs to ensure changes are implemented in the field.
• Coordinate third‑party testing agency activities with project partners.
• Develop QC personnel through evaluation and training.
