Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement and oversee the QC program across projects in the San Antonio area. You will coordinate with project superintendents, PMs, and trade partners to resolve QC issues and promote quality control.

The role requires a civil/structural construction background with 5–7 years on large commercial projects, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel, Primavera and AutoCAD. This is a safety‑sensitive position with room for growth.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience in a related position.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process.
• Lead the weekly QC meetings.
• Assist with the development of the preparatory meeting agendas and participate in the preparatory meeting prior to the start of each definable feature of work.
• Review and maintain the project quality process log (QPL).
• Interface directly with owner's quality assurance and management on all quality‑related issues.
• Review initial and follow‑up inspection reports, punch list items and close‑in inspection results.
• Submit and review RFIs to ensure changes are implemented in the field.
• Coordinate and schedule third party testing agency activities with Hensel Phelps and trade partners.
• Evaluate and develop QC personnel.
