Layton Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in delivering work that meets plans and specifications. The position requires relocation to the project site as projects span the country.

You will review drawings, support bid efforts, and help manage schedules, submittals, and meeting minutes. Strong communication and knowledge of Word/Excel are essential for coordinating field and office teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience with a commercial general contractor or internship preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to read blueprints.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel; familiarity with scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers to ensure work meets plans and specifications.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance and constructability.
• Develop and update project schedules; publish weekly progress reports.
• Coordinate meetings and distribute minutes; support bid and scope development.
• Assist with safety compliance and quality assurance on site.
