Job summary

Happy Home is seeking a Plumbing Sales/Commercial Estimator to lead new business development, provide accurate plumbing estimates, and close deals with homeowners and property managers. You will evaluate jobs on-site, present options, and maintain relationships to ensure repeat business.

The role blends plumbing knowledge with consultative selling, requiring strong communication, coordination with field techs, and the ability to work in varying environments, from crawl spaces to home offices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of plumbing industry experience (field, service, or sales).
• Proven success in sales, estimating, or customer-facing roles—in-home or trade sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through referrals, networking, and company-provided leads.
• Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, property managers, builders, general contractors, and commercial accounts.
• Represent the company at trade events and home shows.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and meet monthly/quarterly targets.
• Follow up on open proposals to maximize close rates.
• Perform on-site evaluations of residential and light commercial plumbing projects and prepare detailed estimates.
• Present good/better/best options and coordinate with service manager to confirm scope after sale.
• Track win/loss results and adjust pricing based on market feedback.
• Be the customer’s primary contact from first visit through job completion.
• Resolve questions promptly and document all interactions in CRM.
• Read plans when needed and explain technical work clearly.
