Job summary

Amcor is seeking a field technician to provide efficient onsite service for Rotary Vacuum Chamber and other packaging equipment at protein processor plants in the United States. The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting skills and occasional management support for difficult issues.

The candidate will perform preventative maintenance, install and start-up equipment, and train customers on proper operation.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent in electrical or mechanical technology or similar discipline preferred.
• Megatronics training and certification preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery).

Responsibilities

• Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
• Service customer equipment to maintain optimum performance and packaging materials.
• Provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support for Rotary Chamber and other packaging equipment.
• Maintains accurate reports on work activities and time utilization.
• Assists in installation and start-up of packaging equipment; may lead smaller tasks within projects.
