United Site Services, Inc. in Stamford, CT is seeking a Field Ops Supervisor to lead yard and transportation operations, supervise drivers and technicians, and coordinate routes with the Operations Coordinator.

The role centers on efficiency, safety, and reliable service to our customers. You will analyze routing data, maintain staffing, review payroll documents, and collaborate across departments to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a related field or training.
• Minimum 2 years proven leadership experience leading a diverse team.
• Valid Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate yard activities; supervise technicians.
• Coordinate routes with Operations Coordinator and Routers for optimal efficiency.
• Analyze operational metrics: routing efficiency, pickups vs deliveries, labor, overtime, fuel, and customer care.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure clear communication and resolve issues.
• Coordinate asset transfers with other yard supervisors as needed.
• Maintain staffing levels to meet branch needs and customer requirements.
• Assist Operations Manager with logistics for special events and asset service.
• Review driver paperwork (manifests, tickets, route sheets, DVIRs) for accuracy.
• Review and approve Time Saver punches and payroll-related forms.
• Oversee fleet DOT administration and safety program administration with Safety & HR.
• Conduct employee development and periodic performance reviews.
• Operate a variety of company vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
