Job summary

WM is hiring for an Operations Manager Trainee focused on onboarding, developing, coaching, and managing the performance of drivers and frontline helpers. You will spend substantial time in the field with frontline staff, building strong relationships and ensuring safety and effective daily operations.

Responsibilities include daily onboarding meetings, coaching conversations, root cause investigations for injuries, and maintaining DOT documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited) or higher required.
• High School Diploma plus two years of relevant experience acceptable.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Driver's license required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, develop, coach, mentor, and manage performance of frontline drivers and helpers.
• Meet with new frontline employees daily to support onboarding and communication.
• Ensure safety practices and regulatory compliance; conduct root cause investigations for injuries.
• Keep records required by regulatory agencies (e.g., DOT) and review daily route documentation.
• Visit customer sites to evaluate safety issues and seek service alternatives when needed.
