Job summary

GreenSpace Recycling is seeking an Operations Manager for the Puget Sound market. This hands-on leadership role requires working around trucks, dumpsters, and multifamily properties, with both field and remote administrative duties.

You’ll cover routes as needed, conduct weekly ride-alongs, and own scheduling, customer communication, and daily execution to improve service quality. The role is salaried, overtime-exempt, and based in the Puget Sound area with a mix of field work and remote admin

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business administration preferred.
• Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role (at least 2 years of general management/supervisory experience).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations to ensure service quality and efficiency.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and coach operations team members, including schedules and performance reviews.
• Cover open routes and complete weekly ride-alongs.
• Coordinate with leadership, field teams and support staff to meet client expectations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase safety and productivity.
• Monitor expenses, control costs, and report on operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT and OSHA safety standards, including regular safety audits.
• Handle escalated client issues and support operational growth and service expansion.
