Job summary

GreenSpace Recycling is seeking a full-time Waste Remedy Training Specialist to onboard and develop our Spokane Area Waste Remedy team. You will train in the field, on routes, demonstrating best practices while ensuring safety, efficiency, and consistency across properties.

This role requires driving company trucks, leading by example, and coordinating with management. Starting pay is $26.00–$28.00 per hour with benefits including PTO, 401k after 60 days, and medical coverage after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required with at least 5 years driving experience.
• Safe driving record meeting company insurance requirements.
• Comfortable driving company-supplied box trucks.
• Able to perform sustained physical work including lifting up to 150+ lbs with assistive devices.
• Strong communication and leadership to guide field teams.

Responsibilities

• Train new and existing Waste Remedy Agents in the field.
• Demonstrate expert-level execution on designated routes.

Waste Remedy Training Specialist
Full-Time | $26.00 to $28.00 per hour

GreenSpace Recycling is hiring a full-time Waste Remedy Training Specialist to support onboarding and ongoing development of our Spokane Area Waste Remedy team.

This is a working trainer role. You’re in the field, on routes, showing the job as it’s actually done: servicing apartment communities, sorting waste and recycling, removing bulky items, and keeping waste enclosures and chute rooms clean. This position ensures consistency, safety, and operational follow-through across routes and properties.

The Training Specialist leads by example, models our values, and makes sure team members are set up for success from day one and beyond.

Position Details

Schedule:

• 5-day workweek: Sunday, Monday, and Friday are required; Saturday and one additional weekday are off
• Start time between 4:30 AM and 6:00 AM

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with at least 5 years of relevant driving experience
• Safe driving record that meets company insurance requirements
• Comfortable driving company-supplied box trucks
• Able to perform sustained physical work throughout the shift, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and safely maneuvering heavy or bulky items (up to 150+ pounds) using lift gates and tools, while working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to communicate clearly when help is needed
• Willing to work around trash, unpleasant odors, spills, and other messy conditions
• Able and willing to sort trash and recycling, clean work areas, and handle furniture and appliances
• Strong communication skills and a steady leadership presence
• Self-directed and dependable when working independently across multiple routes and properties
• Reliable attendance and timely communication

Core Responsibilities

Training

• Train new and existing Waste Remedy Agents in the field
• Demonstrate expert-level execution on all designated routes
• Adjust training based on experience level and learning style
• Observe performance and provide direct, practical feedback
• Document training progress, identify areas needing additional support, and communicate readiness for independent work to management
• Communicate training needs and concerns to management

Route & Property Knowledge

• Maintain working knowledge of all routes and route changes
• Understand property-specific requirements and expectations
• Step in to cover or assist on any route as operational needs arise
• Stay aligned with daily operations and standard procedures

Operations Support

• Support smooth day-to-day execution in the field
• Address issues in real time and elevate when needed
• Model company expectations through behavior and work quality
• Safely lift, maneuver, and remove heavy or bulky items, including furniture and appliances, using lift gates and provided equipment and requesting assistance when appropriate
• Clean waste enclosures and chute rooms, including sweeping loose debris, picking up spilled waste, and completing other cleanup associated with servicing the area
