Job summary

WM (Waste Management) seeks a field-focused manager to onboard, coach, mentor, and manage driver teams. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership in the field, guiding frontline workers and ensuring safety, compliance, and performance improvements.

Responsibilities include developing staff, maintaining regulatory records, addressing injuries with root-cause analysis, and driving positive outcomes through proactive coaching and support.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of a degree,
• High School Diploma (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
• Driver's License Valid Driver's License Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Onboarding, Developing, Coaching, Mentoring, and Performance Management of drivers and helpers.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with front-line employees.
• Spends the majority of the day in the field with frontline employees.
• Ensure tools, instruction, and feedback for successful daily duties.
• Meet with new frontline employees daily to ensure consistent communication and support of onboarding.
• Provide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees.
• Lead by example to ensure safety practices are paramount with each employee.
• Conduct Root Cause Investigations for injuries and incidents and ensure retraining.
• Document and maintain records required by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation.
