Job summary

Waste Management in Oakland, CA seeks a role focused on onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of all drivers and helpers. This position spends most of the day in the field with frontline employees to ensure effective daily operations.

Responsibilities include ensuring new employees have tools and feedback, daily check-ins, safety training, root cause investigations for injuries, and maintaining regulatory records.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or high school diploma with 2 years related experience.
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work.
• Valid driver’s license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and develop front-line drivers and helpers.
• Coach and mentor staff; provide regular feedback.
• Maintain safety practices and WM Way training.
• Review route operation records and DVIRs daily.
• Investigate injuries and incidents; conduct root cause analyses.
• Visit customer sites to address safety issues and seek service alternatives.
