Job summary

United Site Services is seeking a Manager Field Ops to oversee all operational functions at a branch. The role requires directing dispatchers, technicians, drivers, and yard personnel while ensuring accurate paperwork, service level targets, and cross-department collaboration.

The position emphasizes staffing, budgeting, safety program administration, and performance reviews to drive efficiency, asset management, and customer satisfaction across the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year / Associates Degree from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training.
• Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience leading a diverse team to accomplish results.
• Knowledge of financial statements and experience managing a budget.
• Valid Driver License (Class C).
• Experience with multi-stop routing system and dispatch procedures.
• Computer knowledge (Navision, Microsoft Office and routing/logistics software).

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of dispatcher/routers, service technicians, pick up & delivery drivers, yard personnel, fence crew(s), and shop.
• Review paperwork including manifests, routing tickets, DVIRs for completion and accuracy.
• Monitor service levels and deliveries to improve efficiency and customer care.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure communication within the region.
• Resolve customer service and delivery issues; coordinate asset transfers with other branches.
• Maintain staffing levels to meet branch needs.
• Analyze and report on operational activities like service levels and routing efficiency.
• Develop standard practices and efficiency improvements with the Regional Vice President.
• Oversee fleet DOT administration including log books and record maintenance.
• Review e-time punches and schedule time off.
• Administer the safety program with Safety & HR teams.
