Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Installation Manager for a national outdoor structures manufacturer. You will oversee regional field operations, manage a 5–10 person team of technicians, and coordinate with 1099 installers to ensure on-time project completion with safety and quality in mind.

This role requires 4+ years of installation or field service experience and 2+ years of leadership, along with strong communication and scheduling skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of installation or field service experience in construction.
• 2+ years of management experience (5–10 people).
• Ability to hire/onboard Installation Technicians.
• Willing to grow and lead a team.
• Strong scheduling and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with 1099 installers to assign projects.
• Recruit contractors and provide onboarding and development.
• Coach installers to improve customer satisfaction.
• Resolve escalated repairs or service calls.
• Oversee warehouse personnel for order prep and staging.
• Conduct vendor site visits as needed.
• Assist in inventory control and safety procedures.
• Foster goal-oriented, continuous improvement and teamwork.

Role Overview:

A national manufacturer and installer of residential outdoor wood structures — including sheds, gazebos, and play systems — is seeking a hands‑on Installation Manager to oversee regional field operations, contractor performance, and project coordination.

Must Haves:

• 4+ years of installation or field service work in the construction or related space.
• Preferred companies: Home Depot, Lowes, etc.
• 2+ years of management experience (5-10 people).
• Comfortable managing Installation Technicians and owning the hiring/onboarding process for this team.
• This person will be expected to grow their team. This is a must‑have requirement.
• Experience with scheduling, work assignment, and people management.
• Excellent communication skills and work ethic.
• Comfortable with physical requirements: standing, driving, occasional lifting.

D2D:

• Coordinate with our 1099 installers to ensure projects are assigned and completed in a timely manner.
• Recruit contractors and assemblers and provide onboarding, training, and development.
• Coach installers to drive top Customer Satisfaction results
• Proactive communication and timely resolution for escalated repairs or service calls
• Manage warehouse personnel for efficient order preparation and staging
• Conduct occasional vendor site visits to represent the brand
• Assist in inventory control procedures such as purchasing, warehouse safety, and inventory adjustments
