Job summary

The Maryland Department of Transportation's Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) seeks an MVA Assistant Branch Manager II to lead field operations and deliver premier customer service in Baltimore County.

You will support the Branch Manager, plan and direct branch operations, supervise staff, drive workflow efficiencies, and foster a collaborative, union-aware environment while upholding policy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of leadership experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Two years of experience in State or Federal government.
• Experience supervising operations and directing staff within a branch or unit.
• Ability to implement changes to policy and procedure.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager in planning, leading, directing, and overseeing branch operations, audits, compliance, and customer service.
• Work with employees to solve problems for customers.
• Plan, assign, schedule, and evaluate work of subordinate supervisors and staff.
• Act as a change agent and develop workflow efficiencies.
• Operate in a union environment.
