Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Foreperson to drive daily crew productivity, coordinate with management on hiring needs, deadlines, and safety policies, and mentor crew members. You will troubleshoot field issues and ensure training compliance across the team.

You will supervise field operations, manage timesheets and reports, control crew costs, and maintain customer relations while ensuring safety and DOT compliance on vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational ability with multi-tasking capability.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Safe operation of an approved company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per policies and OSHA requirements.
• Discusses issues with property owners and refers complex cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains customer relations through completed work and crew conduct.
• Investigates incidents and minor damage claims when delegated.
• Keeps accurate records, timesheets, and reports.
• Controls crew costs and efficient use of personnel and equipment.
• Reports orders completed, units of work, and crew time to foreperson.
• Furnishes periodic reports on incidents and equipment.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Sets up barriers and safety signs to protect workers and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools and equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping on truck and work site.
• Responsible for DOT maintenance and inspection on vehicles.
• Keeps informed about new equipment and procedures; requests repairs as needed.
