Zipline is hiring a Field Technician Operations Lead to oversee the team that keeps our Dropbox locations safe, reliable, and ready for daily delivery operations. You will manage the Field Support Supervisor and provide direction for the regional technician team across partner sites.

This role requires hands-on leadership in the field, setting clear expectations, coordinating with partners and internal teams, and driving improvements in maintenance processes and site readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field operations or multi-site field teams.
• Experience managing supervisors or team leads and developing frontline employees.
• Strong judgment balancing safety, service reliability, and operational priorities.
• Ability to set clear goals, review performance, and hold teams accountable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Field Support Supervisor and regional Technician team.
• Set safety, reliability, and site readiness expectations across locations.
• Plan inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and site coverage regionally.
• Ensure schedules, tools, parts, and training are available for safe work.
• Review performance, work orders, inspections, repairs, and open issues.
• Prioritize work based on safety, impact, urgency, and resources.
• Coordinate escalations with engineering, maintenance, vendors, and partners.
• Build consistent site inspection, issue documentation, and repair follow-up processes.
• Monitor Dropbox availability and trends to drive improvements.
• Visit sites regularly to assess conditions and frontline challenges.
