Job summary

Asplundh is seeking a Foreperson in Wheelersburg, OH to oversee daily crew operations, plan work after orders, supervise field training, and enforce OSHA safety standards. The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and cost-control while coordinating with property owners and management.

The position requires a CDL, the ability to travel for storm work, and a capacity to work in physically demanding conditions. Excellent team leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires the understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Due to equipment capacity, weight limit around 300 pounds.
• Must have no fear of heights.
• Must be able to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per policy and OSHA standards.
• Discusses access, power interruptions, and work scope with property owners/customers.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through successful completion of tasks.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed, crew time, and incidents as needed.
• Keeps accurate records and controls crew costs.
