Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policy; leads safety training.
• Discusses with property owners issues such as access, power interruptions, and scope; refers complex cases to supervisor.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer and public relations through effective completion of work.
• Investigates incidents and minor damage claims if delegated; settles minor claims.
• Keeps accurate records, timesheets, and reports for crew performance.
• Monitors crew costs, manpower utilization, methods, and equipment operations.
• Furnishes reports of orders completed, units of work, crew time, and repairs to the General Foreperson.
• Provides periodic reports on incidents, vehicle breakdowns, property damage, and follow-up with new hires.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, and markers to protect employees and the public; acts to eliminate hazards.
