Job summary

Asplundh is seeking a Foreperson to ensure daily crew productivity, coordinate with management on hiring and safety protocols, and mentor crew members in field operations. The role emphasizes problem solving on job sites and enforcing safety standards in line with company policies.

The position requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to travel for storm work. A valid CDL is required, along with the ability to drive company vehicles and maintain equipment and records.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding drawings/symbols for lines and voltages.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Able to multi-task and adapt to field requirements.
• Capable of independent action without close supervision.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and assign daily crew work from orders.
• Conduct field training and retraining for crew on new units.
• Enforce safe work practices per policy and OSHA.
• Discuss access and scope with property owners and refer issues as needed.
• Obtain permissions to perform required work.
• Maintain customer relations through effective completion of work.
• Investigate minor damage claims and incident reports as delegated.
• Maintain records, timesheets, and crew reports.
• Control crew costs and optimize use of resources.
• Provide reports on orders, crew time, and incidents.
• Cooperate with authorities when blocking streets or driveways.
• Set up barriers and protect workers and the public from hazards.
