Job summary

Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc. is seeking a Field Operations Specialist to work with customers needing specialized telephone equipment, educate the community about programs and services, and provide in-home assessment and services on equipment and relay services.

The role collaborates with Customer Advisors to deliver exceptional statewide DDTP services, conducts outreach, and supports the California Connect application process. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related human service field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Two years of experience supporting deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or disabled customers.
  • Ability to communicate in ASL at varying proficiency levels.

Responsibilities

  • Educate the community about programs and services for the Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program.
  • Perform in-home assessment and services for equipment and relay services.
  • Assist with the California Connect application process and outreach initiatives.
  • Provide recipient support, including installing equipment and training on features.
  • Record accurate documentation and reporting per State requirements.
